Mr. Antonio (Tony) Jones, in October of 2016 was named Chief Business Strategist for Delmock Technologies Corporation (DTI), located in Baltimore City, MD. There he is responsible for growing DTI’s business’ footprint in new and on-contract Federal Government work. He is also responsible for building strong, vibrant collaborations with local and Regional Historical Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).
Mr. Jones is former Commissioner to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC), representing Prince George’s County, and served there from September 2009 until July 2013; he was voted unanimously Chairman of the Board, in 2011 by his fellow commissioner colleagues. Following his 4-year term as WSSC Commissioner, in the spring of 2013 Mr. Jones launched a campaign for Maryland State Delegate, and while not elected, finishing very respectably in a crowded field of eleven candidates.
He possesses a tremendous amount of program and project management experience achieved while working for Stinger-Ghaffarian Technologies, Lockheed-Martin and Honeywell Technology Solutions; the last three of which were, Fortune 100 companies at the time of his employment. Mr. Jones has managed national satellite assets for both NOAA and NASA. He has logged more than 1500 hours delivering corporate program initiatives to hundreds of employees. Programs facilitated include: Total Quality Management, Six Sigma and Performance Management Training.
Mr. Jones, as Executive Director for NASA Goddard’s Space Hope Program in 1999, launched an Information Technology program which addressed the gap between the lack of qualified information technology and knowledge-industry workers and the “digital divide” that disenfranchised low-income Baltimore City residents.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowie State University, and a Master of Science degree from University of Maryland, University College (UMUC).
In October 2016, he was re-appointed to the Largo Community Church (LCC) Board of Directors, and is presently serving his 4th three-year term of office.
He is married to his college sweetheart Deborah, and has two adult children. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma National Fraternity Incorporated.
