Over 50 volunteers of all ages and walks of life came out to help revitalize Shepherd’s Cove Shelter on April 26, 2014 in celebration of National Volunteer Week.  This was the second year that Path to Greatness brought volunteers together during the newly established Volunteer Week designated by President Obama.  This year, like last, youth volunteers spent time playing with the youngest residents of the shelter, but in addition to this, flowers and shrubs were planted and bulletin boards were decorated throughout.  Thank you to all the volunteers!  And to Lowe’s of New Carrollton for donating over $600 in plants and flowers!  Also, thank you to Julio Construction for delivering mulch and prepping the flower beds.  We’re looking forward to another exciting project next year.
